Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through a combination of Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Sandtray therapy and traditional talk therapy, I work with you, your child or your family to help you recover motivation, perspective, and the joy you once had in your life.
Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger post traumatic events. I can help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing. I have been trained in using Somatic Transformation. Using the subtle cues of the body to inform, I teach my clients how to regulate strong emotions as well as create feelings of calm necessary to heal from traumatic events. Play therapy uses the child's instinctive way of expressing emotions and conflicts. Through the use of playful interventions, children can both express emotions as well as learn skills to address problemsolving, reduce emotional or behavioral disturbances and create stronger bonds with their family. I offer parenting support, behavioral plans, consultation with educational plans like 504 and IEP, strategies to assist children with social learning and positive communication skills.
